I personally believe that it is just as important to have a regular diet for your spirit man as it is for you to maintain your body’s health by regular diet and exercise.
The Apostle Paul, when writing his first letter to the church at Corinth wrote in I Corinthians 3:2 – “I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.” He had written those harsh words to the church because they were a very carnal (flesh ruled) church that had not grown in their faith.
As a matter of fact, your spiritual health is maintained in a similar fashion as your body’s health; by maintaining a regular, healthy diet, and by regular exercise. Hebrews 5:14 puts it this way “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
